Cafe Mocha is a cafe chain franchise, this brand was incorporated in year 2009-09 and now has over 50 cafe’s all over the india. In the very famous city of foodies it is located on Y.N. road, far from being a cafe, Cafe Mocha is a contemporary and stylish restaurant serving modern accomplished Italian and continental food.

Cafe Mocha menu is specially designed to attract all kind of food connoisseurs. It’s an elegantly decorated restaurant, and given that it’s located on a prime piece of residential area(Rani sati colony), Cafe Mocha has done a great job of balancing smartness with a sense of relaxed refinement. There isn’t an ounce of stuffiness in the restaurant.

We started with a generous portion of “paneer tikka” as a starter and that was nicely cooked. Marinated in house special blends with a well judgement of garlic and pepper, this proved to be a lovely dish.

“Mezze platter” with pita bread, samosa, falafel and served with various dips (tzatziki, hummus and mhammara) was so delicate and savory. The star of the dish, the hummus was extremely authentic but unfortunately it was little bland.

To the “penne pasta” tossed in spicy creamy tomato sauce with vegetables was nicely done. The penne had a great texture and was soft without being too soggy. The sauce, a buttery creamy tomato was tasty, but incredibly rich from the heavy use of cream.

Next up, I had a chance to try the house special – thin crust farm fresh vegetables pizza with mushroom, corn, onions, olives garlic, gouda cheese and jalapeno. I thought the dough might overpower the other ingredients, but the balance was perfect. Out of the 3 different kinds of veggie pizzas I tried, this was my favorite. The sauce pairs fantastically with the crispy crust.

And last but not the least we have ordered a Brazil bourbon coffee and Lindt hot chocolate to accompany our meal.

We really enjoyed our meal at Cafe Mocha even if there were a few minor areas that we thought could have been better. Not only was the food delicious, the service was also excellent – smart yet unpretentious. Cafe Mocha made for a lovely chilled out dining experience. Prices were also reasonable. This is how a restaurant should be run.
