The Grand Bhagwati is now in Indore as well, its a chain of hotels known for its excellent vegetarian food, hospitability, banquet and outdoor catering. Bhagwati Group was found in 1989 by Mr. Narendra Somani – The Chairperson & Managing Director who has created this empire of food and hospitality.
The grand Bhagwati is one of the best vegetarian hotel in Indore these days. Located at the end of bypass road, the restaurant recently underwent a refurbishment to complete a very respectable look with outdoor seating’s, creamed-black polished furniture’s. The location and architecture help draw in some upmarket clientele and apparently some Bollywood stars was at #grandbhagwatipalace only a few weeks ago.
The food was good. For one of our starters we had chipotle olive paneer tikka (INR 385) from the kebabs selection to share. A decent portion, It was an assortment of grilled paneer marinated with chipotle sauce. It was wonderfully spiced and beautifully cooked.
Another starter of dahi Gujiyas version 2 (INR 225), lentil puffs with yoghurt, mint and tamarind chutney, was less impressive. The filling was tasty, but quite cold, and the pastry had hardened and turned tough.
Ranjit singh Shahi Paneer (INR 425) simmered in a saffron sweet tomato sauce was deliciously creamy and produced an almighty kick – for me anyway. A well spiced dish with complex flavors.
Kolhapuri Fondue (INR 345), haha yes kolhapuri veggies in fondue style slow cooked saffron sauce from Lucknow was super delicious. The sauce was pleasant and tasty, although not particularly spicy, and the dish could have been hotter in temperature.
To desserts, the pan pasand (INR 295) was good, although a stronger flavor of pan would have worked better instead of creamy cheese.
Overall the service was good, although it felt as if the manager was rushing us when we were trying to place our order.
Although not entirely expensive, the pricing isn’t cheap and there is an addition of a cheeky GST%. The cooking isn’t refined as TGB of Surat and Ahemdabad. But despite this, the food was tasty and well executed to warrant a visit.

Really a great place to be in Indore where to host meetings, functions or conferences. Awesome pool settings and services, actually pool in the hotel is nicest place to relax. Great restaurant to enjoy different kind of delicacies , great staff. I really advice and recommend people to choose the grand bhagwati In Indore. It is worth your visit every time.
