Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a sophisticated food palette. My parents introduced me to fine dining restaurants in Indore (those were few in mid-90’s). We went mostly on Sundays as it was our single outing day for the week.

Of course in mid nineties we were not offered the complex varieties of the cuisines of today, but we still enjoyed our food adventures just as much. Those days most popular restaurants in Indore were only located on Tukoganj area and Hotel Shreemaya was one of them (currently Shreemaya Celebration).

When we didn’t feel like driving, we could take just a short two-block walk from our home and arrive at hotel Shreemaya on RNT Marg, its like our second home haha. I love that the management have taken great care of food quality since then and still unbeatable in some of their signature dishes (North-Indian cuisine). Another thing I love about Shreemaya? Their signature bakery products and cakes. For bakery, they offer vast variety of cakes and biscuits, old fashioned rusk and their signature snack items. Shreemaya celebration is always refreshing us. The variety of food they offer is amazing. Taste of all food items are as best as always. Children are very much happy when visit here as they have entertainment zone for children and they very much like it. Its a value for money place. You can tell this restaurant is run by people who are passionate about cooking for others and producing satisfying, delicious food.

This time we came here for the dinner, it did take us an hour to get our food  since it was a Sunday night, we understood. When we finally got the food, any annoyance went away just because it was that good. We have ordered typical Punjabi vegetarian food (3 main course, 3 appetizer, biryani, soup’s, salad and naan’s). We immensely enjoyed our meal and felt like as always the right taste we are looking for in any home made north Indian cuisine. The price was right and all of us left with happy bellies. We cannot wait to come back for dinner, late night or even breakfast.

PRICE: 4/5.. Reasonable FOOD – 4/5..North Indian dishes done right… AMBIENCE – 3.5/5…honestly noisy and crowded SERVICE – 3.5/5…cheery if a bit unctuous TOTAL – 4/5…Tasty traditional dishes well worth trying
